This month Erin Prais-Hintzis inspired by a collaborative art exhibit that she is undertaking at a local co-op gallery. The theme of this exhibit will be called "Beauty in the Broken Places." In her search for inspiration she came upon a concert called "Wabi-Sabi." This concept is based on impermanence of beauty, that there is beauty in the broken, the rusty and old. “Pared down to its barest essence, wabi-sabi is the Japanese
art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of
accepting the natural cycle of growth, decay, and death. It’s simple,
slow, and uncluttered – and it reveres authenticity above all.” NobleHabor.com
