Pretty Palettes Reveal March 2017
Pretty Palettes Reveal - March 2017
I really struggled with this months Pretty Palettes color challenge. The inspiration for March is a beautiful photo of tulips from Molly Schaller's garden but the color palette generated from this photo reminded me of Thanksgiving.
I really struggled with this months Pretty Palettes color challenge. The inspiration for March is a beautiful photo of tulips from Molly Schaller's garden but the color palette generated from this photo reminded me of Thanksgiving.
Here are my Bead Gallery® bead choices for this months palette -
Red dyed bamboo coral chips
Citrine semi-precious chip
Tiger eye stone chips
Dyed Howlite stone chips
Orange dyed quartzite stone chips
I pushed myself to use colors I am not comfortable with and I absolutely love the outcome!
Did anyone else have a hard time designing with this color palette? I'd love to hear your comments. Be sure to follow me on Instagram for more daily inspiration.
I adore the way the colours weave through everything you created. An excellent theme and approach when something feels out of your element. I have a tendency to mix the colours together instead of doing colour zones like you did here so it's encouraging to see because I did push myself to do the same

Thank you Bijoux - I did color block this necklace. I wonder what it would of looked liked if I mixed the chips together.
DeleteTO DIE FOR! I love that chips necklace... I always get stumped by the stone chip shape, you knocked it out of the park :)
ReplyDeleteAwe Lorelei thank you so much! I love your design too!
DeletePerfection, Denise! I love how you found chip beads in all of the colors of the Pretty Palette. I think the earrings are my favorite because they look like they'd be perfect for summertime concerts and have a carefree boho feel. Thank you for playing along!
ReplyDeleteThank you Molly. This was a tough challenge. You do an amazing job selecting the palettes.
DeleteLovely set, and you'll be able to wear it with everything! Yes, I struggled, too. Mine didn't exactly evoke springtime either!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree Terry! Thank you.
DeleteI like how the color palette evokes earthy feelings, and the chips are perfect compliment to that! Great necklace, you always inspire me!
ReplyDeleteAwe Alison thank you so much.
DeleteThis set is gorgeous! That necklace is so fantastic I want to go make one for myself! I think you paired the colors beautifully and none of your pieces make me think 'Thanksgiving' lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sarah! I think the design looks very boho.
