Pretty Palettes February Reveal




I'm super excited about this month's Pretty Palettes! Molly has picked a photo she took on a cruise and the palette that it generated is absolutely amazing.



 

This challenge corresponds with a trip I am taking to the Bahama's (I actually leave today).  I am hoping the beaches are as beautiful as this photo.
The Bead Gallery® beads I picked for my design are:
Natural mother of pearl 4mm rounds
Dyed howlite rondelle 4x6mm stones
Light blue 6mm shell
Aqua green quartzite round 6mm stones
Shell aqua luster rounds 7mm

Stringing Fall 2010 Blog Carnival

Stringing Fall 2010 Blog Carnival The new fall issue of Stringing Magazine has just hit the newsstands.  Danielle Fox and her crew have totally re-vamp the issue.  The photos are bigger with close-up shots and the photography layouts are stylish .   The issue is absolutely beautiful . My cover necklace is called "Give A Hoot".  My inspiration for this piece was the owl centerpiece was handcrafted by Sandhra Lee .  She creates fabulous pendants.  Be sure to visit her Etsy shop .  I am often inspired by the materials I am designing with at the time.  I do not sketch or pre plan my designs.  I like to call myself a free flow designer.     My bracelet is number 7.  It was created with Vintaj Natural Brass.   The turquoise colored stones are matte crackle agate and carnelian nuggets.
