Pretty Palettes - August Reveal

It is time for the 'Pretty Palettes" August 2015 reveal!    Erin Prais-Hintz has picked the  Cappadocia area in Turkey.  She reports that "It is known for its unique moon-like topography, straight out of a fantasy novel. This ancient landscape consists of underground cities, cave churches and houses carved in the rocks. A millennia ago, people realized they could utilize the soft stone formations to seek shelter underground for a fascinating troglodyte-style architectural phenomenon. The actual landscape is eroded from wind and rain formed from layers of volcanic ash called tuff. Today, the Goreme National Park in Cappadocia, Turkey has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site."

I love this landscape and was inspired by chimneys shown in the 2nd photograph.  Wouldn't you love to vacation at the Goreme National Park?

The Bead Gallery® beads I chose for this months "Pretty Palettes" are:

These beads are very earthy and have warm tones.
The Bead Gallery® gold chain is a perfect match.

The name of my necklace is "Turk".

This necklace has 3 different layers and when worn has great movement.

Be sure to check out "Fashion Friday" and "DIY Saturday" on the Halcraft blog.  I feature the latest fashion trends and two free beading designs every week.

  1. Love the funky layered look that you have going on here! I think that the chain is a nice addition to the Bead Gallery line, although I have not yet seen it in my store (perhaps I haven't been there enough recently! ;-) Thanks for playing along with me in the Pretty Palettes challenge! Enjoy the day. Erin

  2. Denise, I love the beads you chose here! The way that you decided to run the chain through two loops instead of connecting to the beading wire adds some unexpected edge, too. Gorgeous work!
