Where has September gone?  I have been so busy designing & getting the kids back to school that I have not had a chance to update my blog. 



"Frondescence Parure" is my September contribution to Bead Trends magazine.  The Parure features a Vintaj brass necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring.  Many of the beads used in this set can be purchased at Michaels.  I have been designing for Halcraft USA.  You may have seen their fabulous beads "Bead Gallery" lining the walls at your local Michaels store.  Halcraft manufactures only the highest quality beads at a reasonable price.  Next time you are in Michaels be sure to check out the "Bead Gallery" beads.

    I know a lot of beaders dismiss Michaels, but when I have a specific bead in mind, the Bead Gallery line is one of the first places I look. Love the green stones you used!

    I think that Michaels is getting pretty savvy in the bead aisle with things that beaders want to see and use. I love the Bead Gallery for the variety and the Jolee's Jewels for sparkle (and also because I design for them. Should have some pieces in Michaels soon!)

    The only thing I'm careful of at Michaels is the pendants -- they recently ripped off a very well known ceramic artist and she had to get a lawyer to get them to pull the pendants. :-(
