Bead Trends Magazine - April 2011


I love the cover of this months Bead Trends magazine.  It is perfect for Easter and the earrings are fabulous!


I have one project in this months issue.  The name of the design is "Twigs".  The nest pendant was created by Sandhra Lee.  Please check out her Etsy site for more great ceramic pendants.

    Ah-HAH! I remember seeing this piece in BT and thinking that was such a clever clasp treatment and I wanted to remember it for future projects. Then I promptly forgot where I saw it, and also what it was. So thanks for reminding me! :-)

    And it is a beautiful piece. :) I just got my copy this weekend. This was one of my favorites. I love the earthy tones and muted greens. It is totally like wet earth after the thaw, when green things are just starting to poke their sprigs up out of the ground and all the trees are budding. Love it!

Stringing Fall 2010 Blog Carnival The new fall issue of Stringing Magazine has just hit the newsstands.  Danielle Fox and her crew have totally re-vamp the issue.  The photos are bigger with close-up shots and the photography layouts are stylish .   The issue is absolutely beautiful . My cover necklace is called "Give A Hoot".  My inspiration for this piece was the owl centerpiece was handcrafted by Sandhra Lee .  She creates fabulous pendants.  Be sure to visit her Etsy shop .  I am often inspired by the materials I am designing with at the time.  I do not sketch or pre plan my designs.  I like to call myself a free flow designer.     My bracelet is number 7.  It was created with Vintaj Natural Brass.   The turquoise colored stones are matte crackle agate and carnelian nuggets.
