Pretty Palettes - September Reveal

Image
The September "Pretty Palettes" reveal is motivated by books, homework and showing school spirit. Our color palettes for this month is inspired by school colors.  I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a B.A. degree in Psychology.  But our school colors are blue and orange.  Ugh... So I decided to go with one of my favorite memories.... My little brother was the starting quarterback at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU) for 2 years .  It was an exciting time for our family - flying to games and watching him play on TV.  So this months palette is inspired by my brother Mike Moschetti .  Here are some of my brothers statistics for you football "Buffs".  He transferred as a junior so he only played 2 years (most of the players listed played 4 years). Here is my Bead Gallery® color palette Bead Gallery® black glass large teardrop Bead Gallery® black glass small teardrop Bead Gallery® jet 8mm faceted ro...

Pretty Palettes April Reveal

Image
It is time for the Pretty Palettes April reveal.   This month Erin Prais-Hintz is inspired by a collaborative art exhibit that she is undertaking at a local co-op gallery.  The theme of this exhibit will be called "Beauty in the Broken Places."  In her search for inspiration she came upon a concert called "Wabi-Sabi."  This concept is based on impermanence of beauty, that there is beauty in the broken, the rusty and old. “Pared down to its barest essence, wabi-sabi is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of accepting the natural cycle of growth, decay, and death. It’s simple, slow, and uncluttered – and it reveres authenticity above all.” NobleHabor.com   You can click on this link Erin Prais-Hintz for more information regarding her collaborative art exhibit.
